Delores Marie Harris

Delores Marie Harris, a cherished soul from Indianapolis, Indiana, was born on July 2, 1939, and returned to her heavenly home on October 18, 2025. For 86 years, Delores illuminated the lives of those around her with her unique spirit and creativity, reflecting the love and warmth instilled in her by her parents, Theodore and Dorothy (Patterson) Harris, who welcomed her into the world.

Delores was a devoted sister and cherished family member. She is survived by her beloved brother, Stephen Dale Harris, as well as her nieces and nephews who will always remember the special moments shared with their Aunt Delores. Her heart, however, carries the memory of her deceased loved ones: her dear sister Patricia Young and brothers Michael and Ronald Harris, with whom she shared countless memories that will forever resonate in the hearts of her family.

Throughout her life, Delores found joy in the simple pleasures that life offered. An avid crafter, she took delight in creating beautiful necklaces and bracelets that became treasures to those who received them. Her passion for coloring filled her days with color and imagination, a testament to her vibrant spirit. Whether nestled in her favorite chair or gathering with family, she found comfort and entertainment in watching her favorite shows and relishing the music of Michael Jackson.

As we gather to celebrate the life of Delores Marie Harris, we invite all who knew and loved her to join us for a visitation on November 7, 2025, from 11:00 AM to 12:30 PM at O’Riley – Branson Funeral Service & Crematory, located at 6107 S. East Street, Indianapolis, IN 46227. Following the visitation, we will honor her legacy during the funeral service starting at 12:30 PM.  Burial will follow at New Crown Cemetery.

Delores leaves behind a legacy of love and artistry, forever etched in the hearts of her family and friends. She will be deeply missed, yet her spirit will continue to inspire and comfort those who knew her. May she rest in peace, embraced by the love of those who have gone before her.
