Fairy Henderson Gaughan, 97 of Indianapolis passed away Friday, January 27, 2023. She was born on May 17, 1925 in Indianapolis to the late Walter and Fairy Riley Henderson.
She was a graduate of Speedway High School in 1943. She enjoyed gardening and bragging about her great grandchildren.
Fairy was a member of St. Jude Catholic Church.
Fairy is preceded in death by her husband Terrence Gaughan, daughter Kathleen Crosley, son John Gaughan, brother Jack Henderson. She is survived by her grandchildren Patrick (Lori) Crosley, Nicholas (Martina) Gaughan, great grandchildren Margaret Crosley, Elizabeth Crosley, Maggie Gaughan, Riley Gaughan, daughter-in-law Sue Gulledge, son-in-law Sherman Crosley.
Visitation for Fairy will be Sunday, January 29 from 2 – 4 PM at O’Riley Branson Funeral Service and Crematory, 6107 S. East Street, Indianapolis. Mass of Christian Burial will be Monday, January 30 at 10 AM at St. Jude Catholic Church 5353 McFarland Road, Indianapolis. Burial will follow at Floral Park Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers memorials for Fairy may be made to Wheeler Mission, 205 East New York Street, Indianapolis, Indiana.

Sooo many wonderful memories with Grandma Fairy, my real life Fairy Godmother. I’ll always remember and cherish the many crafts we did together, the Easter egg hunts and Christmases with her and her wonderful family! You will be truly missed!
Nick your grandmother was such a lovely lady. You will miss her but so many memories are in your backpack of life. My heart and prayers go out to you and the family.
