Guestbook

  1. Harold was one of the kindest men I ever met! May he rest in peace …….after he makes some beautiful flower arrangements for Jesus and the Blessed Mother! Bonnie

  2. I love you Uncle Harold. I send my love prayers and sympathy to Aunt Mary and all our family. Your smile full of mischief. Your humor and jokes. I still have the beautiful glass vase with pink trim from my childhood you gave me. I remember your tricks of putting a brick or flower stems in my backpack. So many more. Your kindness and gentle spirit twinkled in your eyes. All My Love Annie

  3. Chris and Family,
Your dad will be missed. We were sad to hear of his passing. Anytime we visited the shop, it was as if no time had passed since the previous visit. He genuinely cared about our family… my grandparents, parents, aunts and uncles.

  4. I am sorry for the loss of Mr. Jockish. His business has been the source of many floral arrangements for my wife and me over many years and he and his staff have always been kind and helpful to us over the years. We have never been unhappy with the creations by him and his staff.

  5. Margaret and Chris, We are so very sorry for your loss. We are praying for you daily.

  6. Harold, has been providing flowers to our families for over 50 years. High school, college, wedding and funerals. Best story, Harold purchased 2.00$ derby tickets for me without asking . Always telling me about the racing society and how he loved to play. Will miss his great smile and friendly conversation. Plus, he had a sweet tooth at the nursing home, too much BINGO. God bless the Jockish’s Family.

  7. I came to know Harold, Marjorie and Chris through constant telephone contact due to my working in the offices of G.H. Herrmann Funeral Homes…kindness, laughter, and friendship was the result…they really lightened my days! Please know your family is in thought and prayer.

  8. We thank you for contributing so much of yourself to our friendship and to our family.

  9. More than 20 years ago, my brother, Don, introduced me to a friend of his at the flower shop that he often visited. That was the first time I had the pleasure of meeting and conversing with Harold Jockish. I was immediately impressed by the man’s openness, his sincerity, his kindness, and his sense of humor. Over the years he and other members of his wonderful family have taken care of our floral needs in Indiana and I have had numerous opportunities to speak, telephonically with him and them. Each of those opportunities, were pleasant and memorable. Harold always seemed to have time to tell a story and could make me feel that he was glad for a chance to share a conversation with me. I will always be grateful for the opportunity I had to be acquainted with such a pleasant, kind and gentle man. Condolences to Mary, all of his family and loved ones.

  10. Mr Jockish was a great man , friend and neighbor! He sent a ham to my family’s house when my brother got hurt in eighth grade. Always was there to talk and give advice. We will miss him and continue supporting his flower shop!

  11. For years I came into Jockish Flower Shop and there was Harold facing the window making beautiful arrangements. I used to do weddings and would often need some ribbon and he would always tell me just go and pick out the ribbon, take it and use what you need. When you return it tell me how many yards you used and you can pay me. What a wonderful man Harold was with a heart of gold and always smiling. Jockish was a staple on the Southside for MANY years and is still going with Chris and the girls helping. So, my dear Harold, you will be greatly missed and so will your stories. Blessings to the family members, with love and prayers, lura shannon
