JoAnn Busald

JoAnn Busald, 94, lifelong Indianapolis resident, passed away March 10, 2024. Mrs. Busald was born July 6, 1929, in Indianapolis, to the late Andre Webb and Elizabeth (Gallema) Cahen. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her only brother, David Pangburn, and her husband of 70 years, Harold S. Busald.
JoAnn was employed with the Indianapolis Public Library before devoted her life to raising her children and also providing childcare for her grandchildren and even some great grandchildren. She was a longtime member of St. Barnabas Catholic Church and most recently a parishioner at St. Jude Catholic Church. JoAnn was an avid reader, enjoyed crossword puzzles, attending musicals, and camping with her family. Jo Ann took great delight in attending the sporting events and recitals in which her grandchildren participated through the years. The consummate mother and grandmother, JoAnn will be fondly remembered by her family as a true sweetheart and for her loving and caring nature.
Survivors include her daughter, Marcia (Michael) Hendrickson; son, Garry (the late Kimberly) Busald; grandchildren, Michael, Holly, Kyle, Ashlie; great grandchildren, Tyler, Mariah, Joanna, Samuel, Finn, Harper, and Kimber.
Visitation will be from 9 to 10 a.m., in the Narthex at St. Jude Catholic Church on Tuesday, March 19, 2024. The Mass of Christian Burial will begin at 10 a.m., followed by interment at Calvary Cemetery. O’Riley – Branson Funeral Service & Crematory is serving the family.
