Memories Timeline

Guestbook

  1. May your memories of the wonderful times you shared with your loved one comfort you and your family, today and always.

  2. My thoughts and prayers are with you and the family. John was a great football player and a great football coach. We went to Hanover college together and had a great time. He will be missed Gary Updike.

  3. Carol and John, I am very sorry to see the passing of John’s father. Please know that prayers and love go out to your family.

  4. Mr. Dwenger was a long time friend of my dad Bill Pickard. My dad had lots of stories of them together in their early teaching days at Southport. Some including trips to a Michigan cabin. We will ever know what really happened up there now!

I am sorry for your loss. They both had very good and long lives so there is a lot to be thankful for.
    God bless.
    Suzanne Pickard

  5. Coach Dwenger was well respected by all of us at Southport in the sixties as a football and baseball coach, but more importantly as a pleasant guy to be around. Some coaches you just like; John Dwenger was one of them. I’m sure there are hundreds of other former high school players he coached who feel the same. May he rest in peace.
