Josellia Sophia Johnson

Josellia Sophia Johnson, 3, of Indianapolis, passed away July 10, 2018 at Indiana University Health’s Riley Hospital for Children. Born in Columbia, Maryland on December 28, 2014 Josellia is the precious daughter of Joel T. and Lorpu Z. (Suah) Johnson both of Indianapolis

Josellia loved to sing and dance while wearing a smile on her face. She always knew how to make her family laugh by singing along to television commercials. Josellia’s favorite cartoons were PJ Masks and Mickey Mouse Clubhouse. It was almost impossible for her to sleep without her Owelette and Gekko; the characters in PJ Masks. Josellia’s precious smile and sweet voice will be forever cherished by those whose lives she touched during her short life.

Other survivors include her maternal grandparents, Lynn and Ego Suah of Laurel, Maryland and Mamie and Robert Sloan of Indianapolis; her paternal grandmother, Emma K. Johnson of Charlotte, North Carolina; her sister, Joelstine Johnson of Liberia; and a host of aunts, uncles and cousins.

Josellia is preceded in death by her paternal grandfather, Josiah H. Johnson.

Family and friends will gather to celebrate the life of Josellia Johnson at their place of worship, Life Connect Ministry International, 6213 Las Pas Trail, Indianapolis, Indiana 46222, from 10:00 a.m. until 11:00 a.m. on Saturday, July 28, 2018. The funeral service will begin at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday, July 28 at the church. Burial will follow at Washington Park North Cemetery, Indianapolis. Final care and arrangements are entrusted to the Daniel F. O’Riley Funeral Home, 6107 S. East Street, Indianapolis.
