Kathleen (Hampton) Propes, 72, of Greenwood passed away peacefully on March 1, 2019 in Avon, Indiana. Kathleen was born on December 11, 1946 in Indianapolis to the late Russell E. and Mary M. (O’Connor) Hampton.

Kathleen graduated from Sacred Heart High School in 1965. She worked as an administrative assistant for Bank One for a number of years.

Along with her parents, Kathleen is predeceased by a sister, Sally Ann Drexler and a nephew, Russell Drexler.

Survivors include her children, Woodie M. and Shawn H. Propes, and Patricia A. (Thomas) Barnes all of Greenwood; sisters, Judith A. (James) Buchanan of Rockford, Illinois and Mary Michele Hampton of Greenwood; and grandchildren, Hunter, Owen, and Erin.

Family and Friends may call on Wednesday, March 6, 2019 at the Daniel F. O’Riley Funeral Home, 6107 South East Street, Indianapolis from 3:00 P.M. until 5:00 P.M. with the funeral service beginning at 5 P.M. at the funeral home. The family has requested memorial donations in Kathleen’s honor to the Pulmonary Fibrosis Foundation, 203 E. Ohio Street, Suite 500, Chicago, Illinois 60611; envelopes will be provided at the funeral home. Final care and cremation arrangements are entrusted to the Daniel F.
