Lakelyn Jett Reel

Lakelyn Jett Reel, a precious soul who touched the hearts of many in his short time on this earth, has peacefully passed away at home in the embrace of his daddy on June 6, 2024. Born on April 18, 2024, in Indianapolis, Lakelyn's presence may have been small in stature, but the love and impact he created were enormous and everlasting.

Lakelyn's gentle and forgiving nature shone brightly through his kind eyes, endearing him to all who had the privilege of knowing him. Despite facing health challenges that kept him mostly in the hospital, Lakelyn found joy in arts & crafts sessions and cherished snuggles from nurses while listening to his favorite music by Ed Sheeran & Coldplay. The love and care he received from family, friends, nurses, and even strangers were a testament to the special light he brought into this world.

During his time here, Lakelyn cherished moments spent with his sister, Hadley & twin brother, Oaklyn, enjoying trips to the park, bath time with daddy, and visits with his grandparents. His bond with Oaklyn was unbreakable, one that will transcend time and space. His parents delighted in dressing their twin sons in matching outfits from head to toe, creating memories that will be treasured forever.

Lakelyn is survived by his loving parents; Danielle Hittle & Tyler Reel, sister; Hadley Reel, twin brother; Oaklyn, grandparents; Chris & Kim Hittle, Michael Reel & Christina Crane, and LeaAnne & Brian Bissonette, along with his aunts & uncles; Brittany, Dale, Chris, Jessie, Michael, Brandie, Heather, Justin, Tiffany, Matt and Devon.

Lakelyn's memory will be honored during visitation at O'Riley – Branson Funeral Service & Crematory in Indianapolis on June 13, 2024, starting at 5:00 PM. A Celebration of Life event will follow at 7:00 PM on the same day as family and friends gather to commemorate the beautiful life he lived.

In Lakelyn's brief but impactful life journey, he taught his family the true meaning of unconditional love. Though his time with us was cut short, his name and story will echo through eternity as a beacon of love and inspiration for all who were fortunate enough to have known him.

May you rest peacefully now, dear Lakelyn Jett Reel. Your spirit will live on forever in our hearts.
