Linda S. Carr

November 4, 1950 ~ January 5, 2022
Linda S. Carr, 71, Indianapolis, passed away January 5, 2022. Linda was born November 4, 1950, in Dungannon, Virginia, to the late James Edward Farmer and Lillie Mae (Johnson) Kingery, who survives. Linda married Ed Carr on April 11, 1969, and he also survives.

Additionally, Linda was a talented musician and singer. She and Ed even played in a band called the Dave Wilson Experience for several years. Linda was also eager to travel and create memories with her family in special places like Anna Maria Island, Florida. Above all, Linda was a loving wife, mom, nan, and great nan whose memory will be cherished by her loving family and friends.
In addition to her father, she was preceded in death by three sisters, Mary Ann Farmer, Denise Farmer and Michelle Farmer.
Survivors include her husband of 52 years, Ed Carr; mother, Lillie Kingery; children, Tanya Carr, Edward “Tony” Carr, Jr., and Heather Carr Miller; brothers, Jim, Dennis, and Jerry Farmer; sisters, Nancy Floyd and Doris Farmer; grandchildren, Brandon (Courtney) Carr, Travis (Danielle) Smith, Kelcee (Tim Braun) Smith, Elijah Miller, Leah Miller, Jeffery Taylor, and Laken Taylor; great grandchildren, Daiton, Collin, Kenadee, Alexis, Caleb, Xander, Braxton, Xzavier, Abby, Alex, Ava Alister.

A Special memory…
A beautiful voice has joined an angelic choir.
She will indeed make a joyful noise in heaven as she did on earth. In her days on earth she taught love joy and compassion. Her faith never Wavered as neither did her love. She balanced faith and compassion with a moral center which allowed her to love even one’s who did nothing to deserve that love , yet it was there. Always giving thanks for for every blessing and hope for every damnation. She soldiered on with a conviction of a shining star, an eternal beacon for others to see to lead the way to safely , not by words but by the constancy of her actions. She did what many of us can only aspire to accomplish. She loved , she taught , she inspired and she did much more with a beauty and grace , like only a star in the heavens can show.
My earth bound soul will miss her deeply until I raise my eyes to the heavens and see that beacon once again , then we will make a joyful noise for all to know.
Linda Carr you have been a great soldier and a great friend . Loving mother and grandmother and wife . You will be missed . And when I think I can’t bear the weight of my loss of you. I will raise my eyes to the night sky and know I am safe and on course to home , where we can once again make joyful noise. I love you.
Linda was amazing with helping to plan our wedding, but we did our planning sessions over guitar lessons with Eddie and Alex. We love you. The Zavala’s
Where do you even begin to share ONE memory with Linda? There are so many great memories that choosing one is obsolete. Remember all the laughter, the tears, knowledge and undeterred enthusiasm for her family. She loved with all her heart and to anyone that needed it or looked like they needed love. To her children….you are all three amazing individuals with what is an amazing honor of a role model. I can’t imagine your pain right now but know she is with you every single inch of your life ahead. I love all three of you, Tanya, Tony and Heather. Mad respect!!
Thinking of you all, with love

I will miss her greatly. Enter her home it was just plain old love and laughter . She called me on my way back to VA Dec 26th at 6am , she was in ICU sitting up in a chair . She told me about how shes getting better and hoping to go home soon . She told me how Tonya would check on her alot she worked at that hospital . She said Eddie was sick at home and Heather had her hands full with him LAUGHING , hes stubborn she said .But Tony was coming in to keep him straight . She said Aunt May to me , has still got visitors there’s about 20 people in that house that Jimmy cant see. She said Jimmy and Nancy are doing the best they can, and Dennis watches over mom constantly . But the last thing she said to me was I love you , good bye . If I knew what that goodbye really meant I would never had hung up the phone .
