Maria E. Sering

Maria E. Sering, 81, Greenwood, passed away December 3, 2021. Maria was born October 15, 1940, in Pharr, Texas, to the late Jose and Josephina (De los Santos) Cavazos.
Kind, patient, sweet, funny, and loving are all words that describe the loving wife, mother, sister, grandma, and aunt that embodied Maria Sering. She will be fondly remembered by her loving family for her generous spirit and huge heart. She was an avid reader and always enjoyed traveling. Everyone looked forward to Maria’s thumbprint cookies that made her famous – always cutting the pecans by hand to make them extra special.
Maria and her late husband, Harry, owned and operated the Nature House, a business that specialized in crystals, minerals, and shells. They retired in 1996.
Survivors include a daughter, Leslie Sering; one grandson, Harry Sering; siblings, Margarita Quintero, Jose Cavazos, Manuel Cavazos, Erasmo Cavazos, and Ramon Cavazos.

I would like to send my sympathy to the family of Maria seeing. I was the cpa for Harry and Maria for many years . Harry always called her Helen. I always enjoyed my annual visit with them and after Harry’s death with daughter Leslie and little Harry allen Langdon
