I always called Mike Uncle Mike even though he wasn’t my uncle. He cut my hair & told many stories while I sat in his chair. Mostly about why would his son’s & nephews hang out with a guy nicknamed Hogg.
Many a barber shop night in his garage. Will be greatly missed.
I loved my Uncle Mike. God Bless and deepest Sympathy for all the Smith family’s.

I always referred to him as Dad. He would ask why I didn’t have him cut my hair and I explained that I didn’t want to look like Lefty. I was glad to spend some time with him recently so he could blame me and Scott for letting Uncle Dick get mugged. He was a great husband, father, grandfather and person. I was lucky to know him. He made a profound impact on so many lives including mine.
We at Mike’s Traditional Barbershop are greatly sadden to hear about the passing of Mike! Mike and your family will forever be in our hearts!
Mike was my barber for almost 40 years. I had more fun with him than you can imagine on my visits with him. We shared a lot of the same views and opinions on most subjects from sports to politics. I spoke with him probably 6 weeks ago and he was the same Mike I have known and loved. I miss him as my barber and will cherish our friendship forever. Rest in peace my friend.
When I was a young man starting out barbering, I was going through a lot learning how to be a man learning how to be a dad to two daughters by myself Mike was one of those people who always had words of encouragement and knew how to light up a room it didn’t matter what was going on or how bad your day was that man could make you laugh and have fun no matter the circumstance I learned a lot about being a Barber how to talk to people how to have fun with your clients. most importantly, I learned a lot about how to be a man from Mike . I know myself like many others are forever grateful to have met this wonderful person rest easy Mike
I served at Greenwood Village south for a little over a year and got to spend almost everyday seeing Mikey’s smile coming to breakfast and sometimes lunch…he would take my cigg breaks with me and we would yak and listen to music! There was many morning I would pull in at 10 till 6am and he would already be out in my parking spot on his scooter just waiting for me to pull in you are going to be missed by so many love you Mikey!
I am so sorry to hear of Mike’s passing. Such a kind, gentle soul. Sending hugs and prayers and love.

May God be with Diane and your family.
Mike. Thank you so much for the childhood memories of sitting in your chair. To this day I still miss that massage machine at the end of a great haircut. You will be remembered as a legendary barber but an even better human being. Thank you for all of the great haircuts during those days that I had hair. God bless you, your family & friends……I hope to have a healthy, thick head of hair in Heaven so I’ll be looking for you up there! With love…..Sean, Megan and the entire Delaney Family!
I’ve known Mike for probably 65 years, we were neighbors of his mom and dad for many years. His little brother Phil and I were best friends growing up since probably 1960. So many fond memories growing up, fireworks were always a highlight! Mike was also my barber until his retirement. I always enjoyed reminiscing with him about the good old days.
Many thoughts and prayers go out to Diane and the entire Smith family.
RIP Mike
