Born in: Jackson, Mississippi
Resided in: Indianapolis, Indiana

Nazer Loranine Patterson, born on May 25, 1955, in Jackson, Mississippi, graced this world with her vibrant spirit until her departure on May 4, 2025, in Indianapolis, Indiana. Encircled by her loving family, her last moments were a testament to the deep connections she nurtured throughout her life.

From a tender age, Nazer, ever known for her impeccable sense of style, blossomed into a woman who thrived in the realms of shopping and cooking. Her keen eye for fashion was only eclipsed by the warmth she exuded in her relationships. Whether donning a chic outfit or stirring a pot of her beloved recipes, Nazer embodied grace and joy. She carved out a career that spanned from the iconic shelves of Wonder Bread to the compassionate sphere of healthcare, always putting the needs of others before her own while radiating positivity.

Nazer’s heart beat strongest for her family. She leaves behind her cherished children: Cedric Wilson, Fredrick Wilson, Timothy Wilson, Latrice Patterson, Shiquete Patterson, Dennis Darnell Patterson, and Ulonda Patterson, along with a host of grandchildren and great-grandchildren who will carry forth her legacy of love and laughter.

In addition to her children, Nazer’s vibrant familial tapestry was woven with the threads of her siblings: Willis Napoleon Wilson, Charles Valentino Wilson, Randolph Wilson, Darrell Wilson (with Maxine), and Rudolph Valentino Gray Jr. (with Jennifer Rivera), alongside Kenneth Gerome Gray (with Sandra). The bonds etched with her siblings and their families are enduring testaments to a life rich in connection and support.

Nazer’s absence leaves an irreplaceable void, particularly felt by those who remembered her as a sister, a daughter, a mother, and a friend. She is predeceased by her beloved husband, Dennis Patterson, who together with her parents, Robert Eart Wilson and Nazartha Branson Gray, as well as brothers Robert Earl Wilson Jr., Gregory Wilson, and Philip Wilson, welcomed her into the next chapter.

Friends, family, and all whose lives were touched by her unique light are invited to join in the celebration of Nazer’s life.
