Patricia Ann Forler Rapp

Patricia Ann Forler Rapp, born on October 2, 1949, in Indianapolis, Indiana, passed away peacefully on January 9, 2025, in her beloved hometown. Patricia's life was a tapestry woven with compassion, dedication, and love, leaving an indelible mark on all who knew her.

A proud graduate of Little Flower Grade School, St. Mary Academy and Marian College, Patricia devoted over 40 years to her career as a Clinical Dietitian. Her work was more than just a profession; it was a lifelong passion that allowed her to touch the lives of countless individuals. Patricia used her skills to educate and uplift those around her, always providing support with a warm smile and a kind heart.

On August 4, 1973, Patricia married her beloved husband, Larry Rapp, at Little Flower Catholic Church. This union was a testament to their deep love and mutual respect, and together they created a beautiful life filled with laughter and joy. Their partnership reflected the values of commitment and compassion, serving as an inspiration to all who witnessed their journey together. She was a faithful volunteer with the St. Vincent de Paul Society helpline for several years.

Patricia’s interests extended beyond her professional life. She found great joy in participating in the Fireball Square Dance Club, where she fostered friendships and made cherished memories. Her passion for Bible study further exemplified her deep spirituality and desire to connect with her community on a meaningful level.

She will be lovingly remembered by all whose lives she enriched, her legacy living on through the stories shared, and the lives she impacted.

Patricia is survived by her beloved husband Larry R. Rapp, son Daniel W. Rapp, grandson Zachary M. Rapp, and sister Charolette J. Richardson. She is preceded in death by her parents Daniel and Irene Forler.

Friends and family are invited to honor Patricia’s life and contributions during a visitation that will take place on Tuesday, January 14, 2025, from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM, followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 11:00 AM, at Little Flower Catholic Church, located at 4720 East 13th Street, Indianapolis, IN 46201.

  1. Pat and I worked together for many years as fellow clinical registered dietitians at Community Health Network. She mentored me when I was a young, new RD. I remember Pat’s heart and passion for her patients, her coworkers, family and the love she had for her Catholic faith. She was one of several people who inspired me to convert to Catholicism. Pat had a quick wit and could light up a room with her humor. She will be sorely missed!

  2. Pat was a good friend to me. She was there for me when I was sick. And she helped me out a lot during my recovery. I will miss her terribly.

  3. Pat was one of the most devoted ladies I have ever met. Her involvement with Saint Vincent de Paul and for what she has done for them. I really enjoyed volunteering for her on the help line and will miss her greatly. She has taught me a lot over the last few years about people in general and there needs and how to help them. I will miss you Pat.

  4. Pat’s love of life and compassion for others was inspiring. Her leadership with gentle kindness made volunteering a blessing for all. I will miss Pat and all the encouragement she brought into my life. To the family, I am truly sorry for your loss. May God bless you and comfort you always.

  6. Aunt Patty was a second mom to me growing up. While life has taken me many miles away, Dan, Aunt Patty and Uncle Larry are regularly on my mind. Sending condolences, love, and prayers from Minnesota.

  7. I played and sang at Pat’s wedding at Little flower Church. I remember her from St. Mary’s and Marian College. I am happy to know she had a fulfilled, successful life. My sympathy to the family, especially her husband and her sister, Charlotte, who was my classmate at St. Mary’s and Marian.
