Richard Dean McMillan,65, of Indianapolis, Indiana. He was born on May 10, 1960, in Columbus, Indiana, and passed away peacefully on December 4, 2025, in Franklin, Indiana. He was a beloved husband, father, brother, and uncle whose life was marked by dedication, warmth, and a passion for family.
Richard pursued a fulfilling career at Honda Manufacturing of Indiana in Greensburg, Indiana, and previously worked at Eli Lilly Company and Uniden as an electronic technician. His professional journey was a testament to his strong work ethic and commitment to excellence. He built lasting friendships and connections throughout his career, demonstrating the same dedication he brought to every aspect of his life.
An alumnus of Columbus North High School, class of 1978, Richard furthered his education at IV Tech, laying a foundation that would serve him well in both his personal and professional pursuits.
In addition to his career accomplishments, Richard proudly served in the U.S. Air Force, showcasing his commitment to his country. His service instilled in him values of discipline and respect that characterized his interactions with others throughout his life.
Richard was known for his love of spending time with his family, especially at extended family get togethers. Traveling to Cancun, Lake Tahoe, Yellowstone, and other National Parks were cherished moments. He found joy in simple pleasures such as watching television, playing golf, and attending sporting events. An avid fan of IU Basketball and NASCAR, he appreciated the thrill of competition and the camaraderie that comes with being a fan.
Richard is survived by his devoted wife, Stasi McMillan; his son, Cody McMillan; and his sister, Lori (Rob) Botzum. He also leaves behind cherished niece and nephews, who will remember him fondly. Richard was preceded in death by his parents, Floyd McMillan and Beverly Davidson McMillan, whose legacies of love and guidance shaped the man he became.
