Ronald "Ron" Hallett

Ronald “Ron” Hallett, 77, of Indianapolis (formerly from Clinton, Indiana), passed away on November 16, 2023. Ron was born to the late Herbert & Wanda Hallett on November 13, 1947, and grew up in Clinton, Indiana. Ron spent most of his career with the United States Postal Service as a local mail carrier. He was a long-standing member of the Speedway Church of Christ and was a Minister himself. In his younger years Ron loved to “fly” and held his private pilot’s license. Ron was very well spoken, loved and cared for others and was a blessing to be around.

Ron is survived by his step-children; Karen L. Wetzel and Eric T. Wetzel, grandchildren; Lainey Wetzel, Logan Wetzel, Derek Sink and Dillon Sink, great-grandson; Deiken E. Sink and nephews; Jon, Joseph & Antonio Caughlan.

Ron is preceded in death by his loving wife of 20 years; Carolyn “Jean” Hallett, and siblings; Preston “Leon” Hallett and Marsha Lynn Caughlan.

A visitation will be held at O’Riley Branson Funeral Service & Crematory on Tuesday, November 21, 2023 from 10:00am-12:00pm. Funeral Services will be immediately following in the funeral home. Burial will take place at Calcutta Cemetery in Carbon, Indiana.

  1. Our deepest sympathy to all of Ron’s family. I knew of Ron as a good man and walked in his step-sons wedding with him. I pray that he is with his Lord and Savior. He will be missed by all those that loved him.
