Be advised that public visitation has been amended as follows: Thursday, 10 a.m. – 1 p.m., followed by Mass at 1p.m.
Stephanie Treadwell, 57, lifelong Indianapolis resident, passed away June 2, 2024. Stephanie was born July 19, 1966, in Beech Grove, to the late Paul and Betty (Turk) Dicus. Stephanie married Gary Treadwell on June 1, 2007, and he survives.
She graduated from Roncalli High School in 1985 and later earned a degree in criminal law from Franklin College. Stephanie enjoyed a 34-year career with Delta Airlines as a gate agent that availed her an opportunity to travel extensively through the years. She especially enjoyed trips to California where she could enjoy both the mountains and beach to recharge. While traveling was always enjoyed, Stephanie was quite content enjoying a fire on their back porch with family and friends. She loved playing euchre with girlfriends and never turned down an opportunity to take in a sporting event for one of the grandchildren.
Being a best friend came naturally to Stephanie. In addition to her two sisters, she was a true best friend to many. She had a wonderful gift of instinct and knew how to read people and their needs. A beautiful person, Stephanie was often admired for her sense of style, both in her personal style and her home décor. Engaging, loving, smart, and kind are all words that help describe the wonderful person that made Stephanie a beloved wife, sister, aunt, grandmother, and friend to many. Her memory will be forever cherished by a loving family and many friends.
Survivors include her husband, Gary; children, Christopher (Katie) Treadwell and Amanda Treadwell; sisters, Michele (Mike) Beard and Ann (Mike) Gough; grandchildren, Brayden, Addison, and Megan Treadwell; nieces and nephews, Chad, Rachael, and Christian Beard; Sam and Mitchell Gough.

Words can’t express her consent smile that she has. When you say hi to her, her face lights up. I have known Stephanie for at least 25 years from her working at Delta. As a frequent flyer, she treated all her customers with respect and courtesy. Even when they were yelling at her. I do believe that when she married Gary she was on top of the world. When I seen the two of them together it look like a perfect match. Stephanie had such a great sense of humor and I often took advantage of that when I had the luck of her working the flight that I was on. I know all here coworkers both current as well as retired will miss her. I do feel that Jodie will be the one who will miss her the most. They were always together. I seen the text from Pagano and I hope that she took comfort on what he said. Gary, My prayers are with you. You lost a wonder partner.

Stephanie was one of the kindest souls I have ever had the pleasure of knowing. My Dad worked with her at Delta and loved her dearly, then after he retired I have the pleasure of working with her. Of course we became fast friends, because who couldn’t be friends with her. She had a heart of gold, and so fun to be around. My heart goes out to her family and friends, she will be missed. Gary, you made her dreams come true. Her love for her family was known by all who knew her. I consider myself lucky to have known Stephanie. Love and prayers for all. Rest in peace my friend!

Stephanie is my best friend, like a sister. I worked with her at Delta. Our manager told us we would be best friends and he was so right.
Stephanie has the kindest heart, best instincts, and is the wisest person. She was my travel buddy, shoulder to cry on, and the best person to laugh with.
Stephanie’s happiest time in life began we she met Gary. So very happy to witness that first-hand.
She has a great faith in God. I know she resides in heaven now, without pain. I imagine her having a nice little fish sandwich with Betty and Paul.
Her passing leaves a huge hole in our hearts forever. I pray for her beloved Gary, Michelle, Ann, her family, and friends.
Fly high sweet friend.

I sure will miss Stephanie….I remember when she came to Delta CVG to work with us….she was a little quiet and a bit shy, but it didn’t take us long to find the warm, sweet, kind person she was. Most of all, I think I will miss her laugh—there was nothing better than to hear Stephanie Treadwell laugh at loud—once she got going she could not stop. I have so many great memories of times we all spent together—our going out after work, meeting for lunches and dinners, fun trips…just thinking of her right now and some of our shenanigans brings a warm feeling in my heart. I will always think of Stephanie as that beautiful girl with such a lovely smile. Peace to my sweet friend
Steph my heart is so broken. You are the most beautiful person I have ever met. Miss you my friend our talks, giggles at the gate working together because well I know you know lol. You are truly an Angel in heaven and I will now cherish the memories we had together. She was such a wonderful, and beautiful woman, a sweet grandma to the kiddos, and, the best bonus mom to Chris, and, Mandee. Rest in heaven Stephanie, Thank you for being you ~ You will be missed dearly.
This world is no doubt a lesser place to live in because of the passing of my coworker and friend, Stephanie. I loved her smile and her ability to remain calm during all of her interactions with customers and fellow team members. I am so blessed and thankful that God allowed us to work together for so many years. I will continue to pray for Gary, and all of her family to be comforted during this season in their lives.
Humbly submitted!

Her beautiful smile and infectious laugh will never be forgotten. I’m sorry I’m unable to attend her services, I would love to share some of our conversations and funny stories with her family. Prayers for comfort and strength for Gary and family. Enjoy your memories because memories are eternal. What a beautiful soul…RIH Stephanie.
So lucky to have had the chance to meet and work with Stephanie at Delta. Stephanie fought a good fight. I can see her standing on the river’s edge while she gently lays down her sword and shield, puts on her long white gown, and travels to a wonderful, new destination. Goodbye and Godspeed Stephanie.
