William (Bill) H. Bilz

William (Bill) H. Bilz of Greenwood, Indiana, passed away on September 30, 2025.  He was born in 1929, in Madison, Indiana, to Francis and Helen Bilz.  He graduated from Madison High School.  He served in the US Army.  He spent forty years in administrative work for railroads, starting with the Pennsylvania Railroad in Indianapolis and St. Louis, MO, and ending with Penn Central and Contrail in Philadelphia, PA, where he retired in 1989.  He was a member of St. Barnabas Catholic Church.  He married the love of his life,  Kathleen Hobson, at St. John the Evangelist Catholic Church in 1957.   They were married for over fifty-five years.  Kathy died in 2016.

A graveside service will be on Thursday, October 2, 2025, at 2:30 PM at Calvary Cemetery.

Appreciation is extended to those caring for Bill the last few years, Bickford of Greenwood, Main Street Hospice, and VASIA of Johnson, Shelby, and Hancock Counties, District 17.
