James M. Brown, 37, Indianapolis, passed away January 7, 2020, surrounded by his loving family. James was born May 30, 1982, to the late Russell M. Brown and Julie (Woehler) Brown, who survives.
James graduated from Pike High School where he was a part of the show choir. He enjoyed his work at Alfa Laval where he excelled in many positions and was fortunate to do some international traveling. James loved animation, games, and all things related to GenCon. He was also a trivia buff and was quite intelligent. Above all, he loved his family and always looked forward to the next family gathering. He loved to spend time with his god-daughters, Zelda and Dallas. He will be fondly remembered for his giving heart, thoughtfulness, and dependability.
The family is especially grateful to nurses Anthony and Mary at St. Francis for the extraordinary care provide to James in his final days.
James was preceded in death by his father, Russell M. Brown; grandparents, Barbara and Donald Woehler.
Survivors include his mother, Julie Brown of Indianapolis; brother, Steven (Brittany) Brown of Indianapolis; sister, Stacy (Geoff) Murphy of Pendleton; niece and nephew, Hadley and Miles; a large extended family including aunts, uncles and cousins.
Visitation will be on Wednesday, January 15, 2020, 4 to 8 p.m., at the O’Riley Funeral Home, 6107 S. East St., Indianapolis. The Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 11 a.m., Thursday, January 16, 2020, in St. Andrew the Apostle Catholic Church, 4052 E. 38th St., Indianapolis.
