Jesse A. Morris

Jesse A. Morris, 31, of Indianapolis, passed away May 1, 2021. He was born in Beech Grove June 30, 1989. Jesse graduated from Beech Grove High School in 2008, and attended IUPUI.

Jesse enjoyed being a server at O’ Charley’s and Max & Erma’s on the south side of Indianapolis for more than 10 years. For the last three years, he was an assessor for Marion County. In his spare time he was an on-line gamer and had a passion for UFC (ultimate fighting championship). Most of all, Jesse liked being called “FUNCLE” (fun loving uncle) by his nieces and nephews.

Jesse is survived by his mother, Deborah (Jack) Miller; father, Dennis Morris; sister, Mindy (Jason) Mayes; brothers, Mike (Mechelle) Earnest and Ben (Shanna) Morris; grandmother, Margaret Cosby; uncle, Greg Morris; Aunt, Barbie Russell; nieces, Darling Mayes, Mia Earnest, and Abby Morris; nephews, Tristan Earnest, Aiden Morris, and Isaac Morris; and several loving cousins.

A Celebration of Jesse’s life will take place on Friday May 7th from 4 – 6 p.m. at the O’Riley Funeral Home, 6107 S. East St. Indianapolis, follow by a Memorial Service at 6 p.m. O’Riley Funeral Home is serving the family.   8. I’m still in shock… Love all of the family big hugs…..jesse was my favorite red haired cousin….was in planet fitness a few years ago seen him talked for awhile, talked to him everytime we was there togeather. Love you jesse give my momma a big hug and tell her i love her

  9. Jesse was my fellow front desk worker for a time. He was patient and helped teach me the ropes! Always cranky in the morning; but helped make the slow days at the front desk go faster with conversation and great jokes. My thoughts go out to his family; he was a great guy!
