Lorraine Ann Malcolm, 89, Indianapolis, passed away March 8, 2021. Mrs. Malcolm was born January 26, 1932, in Wisconsin Rapids, Wisconsin, to the late Anton and Catherine (Kertis) Walczak. She was married to William A. Malcolm for 62 years, and he preceded her in death in 2016.
Lorraine graduated from Lincoln High School in Wisconsin and graduated from St. Mary’s Hospital School of Nursing in Wausau, Wisconsin. She was employed at various hospitals including Methodist and Johnson Memorial. She retired from Blue Cross/Blue Shield as a Medical Review Specialist. She also enjoyed a retirement job at Kohl’s in Greenwood. Lorraine was a former member of Our Lady of the Greenwood Catholic Church and most recently was a member of St. Mark. She loved the outdoors and enjoyed birdwatching, camping, fishing, and gardening. An avid quilter, she was a member of a couple of quilting groups, including Nimble Thimbles. Lorraine will be fondly remembered by her loving family and friends.
Survivors include her daughters, Bonnie (Timothy) Ramion, Kathy (John) Whitaker, and Lori (Scott) Armstrong; six grandchildren, Alexander Ramion, Anthony Ramion, Michele Thurston, Anna Springman, Malcolm Armstrong, and Spencer Armstrong; six great grandchildren; three great great grandchildren.
Visitation will be from 6 to 8 p.m., Monday, March 15, 2021, at the O’Riley Funeral Home, 6107 S. East Street, where morning prayers will be said at 10 a.m., Tuesday, March 16, 2021. The Mass of Christian Burial will begin at 10:30 a.m., Tuesday, in St. Mark Catholic Church. Mass will be livestreamed on the O’Riley Facebook page by visiting www.facebook.com/ORileyFuneralHome.
