Mary Evelyn Kijovsky, 97 of Indianapolis, died peacefully at St Paul Hermitage in Beech Grove on Saturday, May 7, 2022. Mary Evelyn was born on October 31, 1924, the daughter of Adolph and Evelyn Clarke Price.
She was a member of St. Jude Catholic Church and a former volunteer for St. Augustine’s Guild. During WW II Mary became a member of the elite group “War Effected Babes", a group of 18 young women who were lifetime friends. They celebrated being all together again when Mary Evelyn entered Heaven Saturday evening. For being 97, Mary Evelyn loved being on social media, especially Facebook. She would keep track of her children and grandchildren.
Mary Evelyn is survived by her precious family, children: David (Carol) Kijovsky, Steve Kijovsky, Bill Kijovsky, Kathryn (Steve) Dildine, Jim (Donna) Kijovsky, Sharon Winalski, sister Elizabeth Besse, son-in-law David Kuntz, 11 grandchildren and 18 great grandchildren. Mary Evelyn is preceded in death by her beloved husband Bernard William Kijovsky, her parents Adolph and Evelyn Price, daughter Karen Kijovsky Kuntz, brothers William and Bernard Price
Visitation will be Saturday, May 14, 2022, from 9- 10 am at St Jude Catholic Church, 5353 McFarland Road, Indianapolis. A Mass of Christian Burial will follow at 10 am. Burial will be at Calvary Cemetery.
The family would like to give special thanks to St. Paul Hermitage for being Mary Evelyn’s extended family and all the love and assistance they gave her.
