Mary Evelyn Kijovsky

Mary Evelyn Kijovsky, 97 of Indianapolis, died peacefully at St Paul Hermitage in Beech Grove on Saturday, May 7, 2022. Mary Evelyn was born on October 31, 1924, the daughter of Adolph and Evelyn Clarke Price.

She was a member of St. Jude Catholic Church and a former volunteer for St. Augustine’s Guild. During WW II Mary became a member of the elite group “War Effected Babes”, a group of 18 young women who were lifetime friends. They celebrated being all together again when Mary Evelyn entered Heaven Saturday evening. For being 97, Mary Evelyn loved being on social media, especially Facebook. She would keep track of her children and grandchildren.

Mary Evelyn is survived by her precious family, children: David (Carol) Kijovsky, Steve Kijovsky, Bill Kijovsky, Kathryn (Steve) Dildine, Jim (Donna) Kijovsky, Sharon Winalski, sister Elizabeth Besse, son-in-law David Kuntz, 11 grandchildren and 18 great grandchildren. Mary Evelyn is preceded in death by her beloved husband Bernard William Kijovsky, her parents Adolph and Evelyn Price, daughter Karen Kijovsky Kuntz, brothers William and Bernard Price

Visitation will be Saturday, May 14, 2022, from 9- 10 am at St Jude Catholic Church, 5353 McFarland Road, Indianapolis. A Mass of Christian Burial will follow at 10 am. Burial will be at Calvary Cemetery.

The family would like to give special thanks to St. Paul Hermitage for being Mary Evelyn’s extended family and all the love and assistance they gave her.

  4. I want to extend my sympathy to the Kijovsky and Dildine families for your loss. Mary Evelyn was a special woman and such a part of my mother’s and father’s lives through the years. She was a wonderful friend and companion to my mother and she and Bill were so close to my parents and part of our family. She was always so glad to see me with a smile on her face. She filled many roles in her life as a wife, mother, grandmother and friend. She had a wonderful life and will be missed by all of us. Our thoughts are will you and I pray she will rest in peace with the Lord.

She was a wonderful mother , wife , and truly practiced her faith. That’s a good life. I want to say her children took great care of her. Kathy you did a great job with Mary and my mother.
