Mary Jane Grubb

Mary Jane Grubb, 76, Greenwood, passed away peacefully October 13, 2019. Mary Jane was born August 27, 1943, in Beech Grove, to the late John Russell and Charlotte (Salmon) Swisher.

She worked for many years in accounting for the State of Indiana Department of Workforce Development. Mary Jane attended St. Jude Catholic Church. She enjoyed gardening, crocheting, baking, and was especially proud of her family. She will be fondly remembered for her loving and generous nature.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by a sister, Margaret Clayton.

Survivors include three daughters, Kathy (Don) Evans, Anne Talbott, and Denise (Tim) Gates; two brothers, John (Monica) Swisher and Tom (Ruby) Swisher; grandchildren, Chad Bates, Stacie Evans, and Nick Evans; Austin and Anthony Eagan; Mallory and Addie Gates; great grandchild, Blakely Eagan.

Friends and family will gather Monday, October 21, 2019, 4 to 7 p.m., at the Daniel F. O’Riley Funeral Home, 6107 S. East Street, Indianapolis. The Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 10 a.m., Tuesday, October 22, 2019, in St. Jude Catholic Church.
