Michael E. Lombardo

Michael E. Lombardo, 66, of Indianapolis, passed away in the morning hours of August 19, 2020. Michael was born in Indianapolis on March 20, 1954 to the late August J. and Theresa E. (McGinnis) Lombardo.

Upon graduating high school, Michael was employed at Allison Division of General Motors in Indianapolis as an inspector. He retired in 1996 after 22 years of service. Michael was a member of Our Lady of the Greenwood Catholic Church. He enjoyed watching Nascar Racing and any Indiana University sports on television. Michael’s favorite food was pizza; he would eat it seven days a week if he could.

Along with his parents, Michael is preceded in death by his brother, August Joseph Lombardo, III and his brother-in-law, Charles Rusler.

Survivors include his sister, Kathleen Rusler; his nephews, Jim, Brian, and Matthew Rusler; and many cousins and extended family members.

The Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Monday, August 24, 2020 at 10:00 A.M. in Our Lady of the Greenwood Catholic Church, 335 S Meridian Street, Greenwood. Visitation will take place at the church on Monday prior to the celebration of mass from 9:00 A.M. until 10:00 A.M. Entombment will follow in St. Joseph Cemetery, Indianapolis.
