Music Note in memory of Robert John Winans
I met Bob at Bellarmine and we immediately became friends, we bonded over music and sports, and always had a great time! Bob and I attended many a concert together over the years, and I will miss him greatly. Bob was always such a joy to be around, we have a tremendous amount of fun at concerts, ballgames and at the track.
These pictures are of Bobby in 1980 at ND and 1981 Bobby holding Joey.
Bob was a great guy and friend who will be thought of often. Rest in peace buddy.
Bob and I met at Bellarmine College in Louisville, KY. We had several similar interests and became good friends. We enjoyed watching football on Sunday as we discussed all the fun we had the night before. Bob was funny and easy going. One of my favorite memories is the night when a few of us decided to stay up all night to see the sun rise. During the course of the night, Bob received the nickname “Sheik”. It stuck for the rest of college. Keep them laughing in Heaven until the rest of us join you. Rest in peace my friend.
I remember Bob well from St. Barnabas grade school. He was a close friend to my son, Jerry Eacret . I. am sorry to hear of his passing. May he rest in peace.
Rest in peace, Bob
We will miss you, Bobby.
I’m just learning of Bob’s passing and wanted to send belated condolences to his family. I met Bob in San Francisco, routinely meeting up with him at McTeagues to watch Giants and Warriors games. I’ll remember him for his kindness, deadpan humor and ability to somehow work the Fighting Irish into almost every conversation. Today I am wearing the Notre Dame tee-shirt he sent me several years ago in his honor. Rest peacefully Bob.
Love,
Eddie Sprouse
My condolences to Bob’s family and loved ones. I was not aware of his passing which has reminded me that life is too short. Bob was a good friend who I got to know through working at Bank One and Tranex Credit Corp. He will be missed and leaves behind fond memories.
