John Marshall Minor

John Marshall Minor 77, of Indianapolis passed away Friday October 8,2021 at his residence.
He was born in Lexington Kentucky August 11, 1944 to the late Billy and Anna (Denny) Minor.
John served his country in the U.S. Army and worked for 40 years for IBM. He loved spending time with his family and enjoyed the outdoors, hunting, fishing and camping. John was an avid Colts and Pacer fan. But there was one team that John rooted for most of all, The Kentucky Wildcats Basketball team, before the team was televised John and Angela would listen to the games on the radio, if the reception of the radio was bad, John and Angela would get in the car and ride around to get better reception on the car radio.
John and Angela Minor (Wheatley) were happily married for 55 years. John was a loving dad and grandpa to sons, Bill (Lisa), Troy (Chris), Jay and Jimmy Minor, Grandchildren Mandy, Dalton, Abby, Molly, Julia, Matthew, Jessica, Kyleigh and Austin Minor, Brothers Mike, Philip, Joe, Tom Minor and Sister Annell Mook. He was preceded in death by his parents, one son Shane and Brother Frankie.
Visitation will be held Wednesday October 13,2021 from 4-8pm at O’Riley Funeral Home 6107 S. East St. Indianapolis, IN and then on Thursday October 14, 2021 from 10:00-10:40 am at the funeral home. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held Thursday October 14, 2021 11:00 am at St. Barnabas Catholic Church 8300 Rahke Rd, Indianapolis, IN 46217.
