Agnes Christine Gough, 96, of Indianapolis. She died August 12, 2022, at Greenwood Village South. Christine was born August 4, 1926, in Uniontown, Kentucky to James Hester and Anna Ruby Jordan Floyd.
Christine went to grade school at St. Agnes School in Uniontown, Kentucky and high school at St. Vincent Academy in St. Vincent, Kentucky. She attended Our Lady of Cincinnati College in Cincinnati. She was a member of St. Mark Catholic Church, where she was a member of the Rosary group every Thursday with her Rosary sisters.
Christine was a teacher at St Mark Catholic School. She also taught at St. Roch, Holy Name, St Catherine, and St. Joseph Catholic School.
Christine is survived by her daughter Julie Anne (Michael) Wicks, son Michael Joseph (Ann) Gough, sisters Dorothy Wilson, Cecilia Heady, Francesca Janecky, brothers James T. Floyd, Michael Floyd, Patrick Floyd, grandchildren Stephanie Wicks, Joseph Wicks, Mitchell Gough, Samuel Gough, Christie Wicks, great grandchild Evelynn Trotter.
She is preceded in death by her parents, husband Donald Joseph Gough, sisters Mary “Maggie” LeForge, Edna Thomas, Theresa Faulkner, Mary Jo Gillespie, brother Anthony Floyd.
Visitation for Christine will be Thursday, August 18, 2022, from 4 – 8 pm at O’Riley Branson Funeral Service and Crematory, 6107 South East Street, Indianapolis. Her Mass of Christian Burial will be Friday, August 19, 2022 at 10 am St. Mark Catholic Church, 535 East Edgewood Ave., Indianapolis. Entombment will follow at Calvary Cemetery.

When I first came to St Marks a few months before the pandemic I was standing in the vestibule trying to figure out where the welcome table was to become a new member. She came up to me and instantly we became the best of friends. We talked every day at 8 pm and sometimes more than once. Ill miss her so very much
