Anna M. Everroad

September 20, 1950 ~ December 23, 2021
Anna M. Everroad, 71, of Greenwood, passed away during the early morning hours of December 23, 2021, at the Franciscan Hospice House with her family by her side after a courageous battle with her health. Anna was born on September 20, 1950, in Beech Grove, Indiana to the late John and Delores (Skillman) Miller. On September 13, 1969, Anna wed Ralph Everroad in St. Roch Catholic Church; Ralph survives.
The oldest of six children, Anna was raised on the south side of Indianapolis in St. Roch Catholic Church. Anna graduated from Emmerich Manual High School in 1968. In 1969, Anna began working for Ray Envelope for several years, then went on to Ris Paper which later became Millcraft; she retired from Millcraft on May 31, 2017, after 48 years of dedicated service.
When not working, Anna loved going to the casino and playing the slots. She also enjoyed playing cards, especially Hand and Foot. Pull tabs, bingo, and an occasional beer were enjoyed by Anna. She was generous to a fault; she would give a stranger the shirt off her back. Ralph and Anna enjoyed traveling on cruises to favorite destinations such as Aruba, The Bahamas, Jamaica, Cancun, Cozumel, Hawaii, and St. Martin. She also enjoyed her stateside trips to Las Vegas and Kentucky.
Having no children of her own, Anna was a devoted aunt to each of her nieces and nephews.
Anna was a loving wife, incredible older sister, and caring daughter; her bold personality and zest for life will be missed.
Along with both of her parents, Anna was preceded in death by her brother, Michael A. Miller; brother-in-law, Billy White and a nephew, William Charles White III.
Survivors include her husband of 52 years, Ralph Everroad; her siblings, Judi (Gary) Delk, Mary (Stu) Moyer, Ruth (William) White, John (Cathy) Miller, sister-in-laws, Mynevia Miller and Robin (Terry) Small; a host of nieces and nephews, friends, and extended family members.
Anna’s family would like to extend a special thank-you to the doctors and nurses in the AICU at St. Francis South Hospital and the Franciscan Hospice House for the excellent care they provided to Anna and their family during the last month of Anna’s stay there.
Anna’s Life Celebration visitation will be held Monday, December 27, 2021, 3:00 to 7:00 PM in the O’Riley Funeral Home, 6107 South East Street, Indianapolis, Indiana 46227. I have so many memories of Anna that I could write all day. She was sweet, kind, loving, and always a wonderful friend. Annie and Ralph were always around Mary(Annie’s sister) and I making memories with us. She took us to our first haunted house, took us trick or treating, and we had our first slumber party at her house. We spent the night at her first apartment on many weekends. Annie and I were going to visit Mary in Kentucky in the spring. I will miss her humor, her smile and the love she gave to everyone. I am so proud to have been a part of her life. Love you Annie.
My hugs and prayers to Ralph and all of Anna’s family. She was such a sweet lady. May God comfort you during this time of grief. Tony & Cecilia Ray
From your Millcraft Family with love
Anna was one of the good ones. Thinking of you guys today. Lots of love,
Loving you … missing you! A fantastic big sis! ߒ
My first time meeting the family was Christmas Eve 1982 at Anna and Ralph’s house. Running joke I said something about my Vette aka Chevette. It was always a joke. LOL. It was then I found out my boss Rick and Cookie (Pat) Newkirk were in Corvette club together. Such a small world. The memories 39 years have made will be cherished. Anna has always been the second Mom to my hubby (John) and son (Anthony). She will be missed but never forgotten. With love
