Anna Marie (Swiezy) Bachman

June 17, 1958 ~ June 21, 2021
Anna Marie (Swiezy) Bachman, better known as Ann or Aunt Annie, was called home on June 21, 2021. Ann, 63 of Indianapolis, was born on June 17, 1958 to Rosemarie (Neu) and Anthony L. Swiezy, in Beech Grove, Indiana.
She attended St. Catherine and St. Mark Catholic Schools and graduated from Roncalli High School in the class of 1976. Ann moved to Florida where she met Dennis Bachman, and they were married on January 1, 2002.
Ann absolutely loved her family and she was an amazing big sister to her 8 siblings. She especially enjoyed time with her nieces and nephews and attending their ball games and events. She was a genealogy buff who enjoyed finding and connecting with distant family that she hadn’t met; she never met a stranger. She made fun, treasured memories with her many friends and family, and enjoyed keeping in touch with all of them through Facebook.
She had a genuine interest in her family and friends and was always asking how you and your family are doing. Ann was a big sports fan who enjoyed watching the Colts games and NASCAR races, and the entire family knew not to plan a family gathering during a NASCAR race! Ann loved animals especially dogs and birds and frequently rescued them. Her outdoorsy personality is evident in her many years in Florida where she enjoyed the beach, sand, fishing, flower gardening, and bird watching.
Ann is survived by her husband, Dennis “Denny” Bachman; daughter, Beth Kochert; sisters, Aura Lee (Mike) Lyons, Jeanette (Charlie) Bowling, Jeanene Swiezy; brothers, Anthony L. Swiezy II, Andrew J. (Angi) Swiezy, Matthew G. Swiezy, Thaddeus B. (Dana) Swiezy; nieces and nephews, Jenalee (Luke) Age, Shanley (Kevin) Toschlog, Emma Lyons, Alea (Branden) Stanley, Jacob Doughty, Drew Swiezy, Ian Bowling, Ava Bowling, Tyler Swiezy, Isaiah Bowling, Audra Bowling, Christian Swiezy, Ben Swiezy, Anahbeth Bowling; 6 great-nieces and nephews; and a host of cousins and extended family members.
She was preceded in death by parents Anthony “Bud” and Rosemarie “Rosie” (Neu) Swiezy, and brother, Thomas J. Swiezy.

While Bob and I didn’t know Anna Marie, we knew most of the Swiezy family and loved them all. We mourn with you. Rosie and I were accused of “dumpster diving” by our children, when all we did was find cheese for our huge families! Many wonderful memories. Our love is with you today.
John and I have you all in our prayers! So sorry for your loss!
Wishing you peace to bring comfort, courage to face the days ahead and loving memories to forever hold in your hearts.
May you Rest In Peace, while smiling down on your family.
Heart in memory of Anna Marie (Swiezy) Bachman
“Ann Marie” was one of my 8th grade English students at St. Mark. I remember her smile, her height (she was one of the tallest), and her athleticism with great fondness. May God bless Ann Marie and those she loved.
Ann Marie was one of my very best friends and workmate. I will miss her dearly.
