Anthony E. Ahaus

On Monday, December 14, 2020, Anthony E. Ahaus, loving husband, father, and grandfather, passed away peacefully at home at the age of 70.

Tony was born on September 4, 1950 in Indianapolis, IN to Edward and Ruth Ahaus. He graduated in 1968 from Chartrand High School and later earned his Degree from ITT, working 27 years in tele-communications for RCA/Thomson.

A man of few words, Tony was known for his witty demeanor, his unyielding work ethic, and his ability to fix just about anything. His true passion lied in the peaceful nature of the outdoors as well as supporting his children in all their many endeavors.

Tony was preceded in death by his parents, Edward and Ruth, and his sister Virginia. He is survived by his wife Gertrude, his two sons, Edward and Raymond (Lindsay), his sisters Carolyn, Cindy, and Diane, his brothers Tom and Bernard, six grandchildren, and several nieces and nephews.

The Funeral Mass will begin at 11 a.m., Saturday, December 19, 2020, in St. Roch Catholic Church, with visitation there from 10 a.m. Mass will be livestreamed by visiting https://www.facebook.com/orileyfuneralhome/. Inurnment will be held at a later date at Calvary Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to St. Roch Catholic Church, 3600 S. Pennsylvania St., Indianapolis, IN 46227.
