Anthony Jarrell

Beech Grove – Anthony C. Jarrell, 43, left this Earth to be with the Lord on Wednesday, May 20th, 2020. Anthony was born in Indianapolis, Indiana on July 2nd, 1976 to Anthony K. and Donna R. Luna (formerly Jarrell). As a child, Anthony was active in the Boy Scouts of America, and used his dedication to rise amongst the highest ranks of Boy Scouts. Much to his family’s dismay, he also enjoyed the process of taking things apart to figure out how they worked.

He graduated from Arsenal Technical High School in 1995, and then graduated Summa Cum Laude from Ivy Tech University in 2004, with a degree in Manufacturing & Industrial Technology. In 2009, Anthony completed his electrical apprenticeship through the Indianapolis Electrician Joint Apprenticeship and Training Committee (JATC), which earned him the title Journeyman Wireman. In 2011, Anthony rose to the top of his profession, earning the prestigious title of Master Electrician. Anthony was also a member of IBEW Local 481 in Indianapolis. Anthony proudly worked as a pipe fitter at Amtrak Railroad for the past 11 years. He was also a member of the International Association of Sheet Metal, Air, Rail, and Transportation Workers, serving as treasurer for part of that time.

Anthony is survived by his loving wife, Tracie, and beautiful children, Alivia and Carter. Anthony is also deeply missed by his mother, Donna, sister Missy (Bridgette), and brother Rob. Additional survivors include his niece Alessa Johnson, and nephews Dalton Johnson, Wade Johnson, and Anthony Johnson. There are also several great nieces and nephews that will miss him greatly.

In his free time, Anthony enjoyed running, roller skating with his daughter, and spending quality time with his family. He was also an avid music lover, enjoying different genres of music and going to concerts. Anthony found comfort in art, specifically sketching, and was a terrific artist. He enjoyed working on projects around the house, and was skillful as a handyman. Anthony could usually be counted on to have multiple projects going at once. His huge smile and infectious laugh will be remembered by all who knew him.

A remembrance service will be held at Holy Name of Jesus Catholic Church, on Saturday, May 30th from 2-4pm. Facemasks will be required in the church, per social distancing protocol. Please bring your own mask if possible, we will have a few available. Light refreshments will be provided at the church. In lieu of flowers, please consider donating toward Alivia and Carter’s college funds. The website for their College 529 plan is Ugift529.com, and the code is Q06-B8Z.
