Barbara Ann Corbett

October 15, 1935 ~ February 4, 2018
Barbara Corbett, 82, Greenwood, passed away February 4, 2018. Born and raised in Evansville, Indiana, she met her husband of 57 years, Frank, in St. Louis, Missouri and moved to Indiana where they raised six children: Teresa (Stephen) Crossen, Jane Corbett, Rosanne Corbett, Thomas Corbett, Timothy (Tracy) Corbett, and Karen (John) Zartman.
Barbara was a licensed registered nurse and called upon her education many times as her children were growing up. She was a charter member of St. Barnabas Catholic Church where she held the position of wedding coordinator and volunteered as a eucharist minister. Barbara’s favorite activities included bowling, fitness walking, camping with family at Indiana state parks, and sitting on the front porch visiting with family, friends and neighbors.
Barbara has three sisters, Liz Hartsaw, Mary Cuprisin and Judy Dewig, ten grandchildren: Steven Crossen, James Crossen, Kristi Brenner, Kyann Zartman-Keller, Nicole (John) Doerr, Christina (Andrew) Todd, Ashley (Trevor) Porter, Benjamin (Annie) Corbett, Stephanie Corbett, Joseph Corbett, and eleven great-grandchildren.
Visitation for Barbara will be February 7, 2018 from 4 p.m. until 6 p.m. with a prayer service beginning at 6 p.m. at Daniel F. O’Riley Funeral Home. Burial will be at Mount Pleasant Cemetery, Greenwood, Indiana.
