Barbara Ann Hurrle

Barbara Ann Hurrle died at St. Paul Hermitage where she received loving care for 9 years. Barbara (Finn) was born in Chicago, Illinois and spent most of her life in Indianapolis. She met Casimir Hurrle in 1948 and they were married 56 happy years. She is survived by 6 children: Theresa Roussel (John), Dave Hurrle (Carol), Don Hurrle (Dotti), Eva Hurrle, Peggy Teagardin (Gary) and Dan Hurrle (Beth) and enjoyed her 15 grandchildren and 13 great grandchildren. She is also survived by 3 half-sisters: Patty Leffler, Maryellen Bein and Martha Craig. Barbara’s unconditional love for her husband, Cass, and her fierce loyalty to her children were her special gifts to us. Barbara was a member of the Monsignor Downey Knights of Columbus Musi-gals, worked for the Daisies at St. Paul Hermitage and volunteered for many reverse raffles, dinners and dances at the Knights of Columbus. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Tuesday, May 10, 2016 at 10 a.m. at St. Roch Catholic Church. Visitation will be Monday, May 9, 2016 from 4 p.m. until 8 p.m. in Daniel F. 6. Dear Theresa, David, Donny, Eva, Peggy and Donny: I am very saddened to hear about your Mother’s passing. I was your next door neighbor, Debbie Armstrong, on Elbert Street. Your parents were such wonderful people and always so nice to me. I remember playing outside in the neighborhood mainly with Peggy and Danny. My Father passed away in 2001 and my Mother passed away in 2012. My husband and I have been married 38 years and had two daughters. We are grandparents to 3 (one girl and 2 boys). I will be keeping you in my thoughts and prayers as you go through the grieving stages. I have great memories of you all growing up in the neighborhood and having a lot of fun. I wish you all the best and my deepest condolences to your entire family and extended family.  Debbie
