Blanche C. Kingery

Blanche C. Kingery, 91 of Indianapolis, passed away on May 31, 2022. Blanche was born to the late David (Joe) and Lucile Miller on August 19, 1930 in Indianapolis, Indiana. Blanche owned her own hair salon, Beauty by Blanche and was always happy to visit with her clients. She was Union treasurer while working at Madden Furniture. She worked as cashier at Speedway and eventually retired as cashier from Meijer’s.

Dancing was one of Blanche’s passions, especially the jitterbug and won a few competitions. She rode many trail rides on her favorite horse. And was no stranger to an adventurous ride on a Harley. Blanche was also a true Elvis fan! She loved playing Euchre, watching game shows and talking on the phone. She was a true social butterfly and would invite anyone to visit. Friends were a special part of her daily life. She enjoyed Christmas as her ultimate Holiday but spent time to always remember every family member’s birthday. She treasured the love of her family always with big hugs for all!!

Blanche is survived by her children; David Harlos, Donna (Roger) Robinson, Deborah Harris and Raymond Kingery Jr., grandchildren; Jessica Harlos-Addy, Erika Harlos, Stacy (Brent) Hinton, Kari Robinson, Justin (Jessica) Harris, Jerry Harris and Raymond Kingery III, great-grandchildren; Aiden, Jaylen, Evalynn, Savannah, Kendall, Bailey, Taylor, Chloe, Bennett and Piper.

Blanche is preceded in death by her sister; Margaret Gillespie.

Visitation will be held on Monday, June 13, 2022 at O’Riley-Branson Funeral Service from 11:00am-1:00pm with funeral services immediately following in the funeral home. Burial will take place at New Crown Cemetery.

When my son and met I became her daughter and my son her grandson she is Mama Blanche she is and was a lady of love and positivity we all loved her so much she’d come to hear us sing and she loved to hear me sing Aretha Franklin she that was her favorite RnB singer she also loved her gospel Jesus came first in her life she had a loving heart of gold she lived a great life when she told me she was 91yrs young I could not believe it she was so beautiful I’m gonna miss this lady so much but God missed and Loved her more so he called her home to be with him , so Mama Blanche R I H now I miss you, Love you always in our hearts, Joyce n David Hold in to Jesus he will get you so sorry for your loss.

  11. Blanche shared many long years of friendship with my kids and myself. Many hours talking on the phone. We laughed at a lot of our stories regarding our boys. She was always so kind. We will miss her very much and always remember her silly self. Prayers to the family.
