Bridget Josephine Belyea Carr

Bridget Josephine Belyea “JoJo” Carr, 73, Indianapolis, went to be with the Lord on July 28, 2017. JoJo was born March 3, 1944, in Indianapolis, to the late John and Bridget (McCahill) Carr.

Jo was a member of St. Gabriel Catholic Church. She was employed through the years at St. Augustine Home, Robin Run, and Americana Nursing Home. Jo enjoyed writing poetry, caring for her son, and was strongly devoted to her family. She will be fondly remembered by her loved ones and friends.

She was also preceded in death by siblings, Theresa Carr, Mary Casler, John, Jr., Francis and James Carr.

She leaves behind to cherish her memory a son, Jack Jr. “JJ”; three sisters, Sr. Theresa Clare Carr, SP, Catherine Warren, Susan (Ernie) Fox; brothers, Cornelius (Kay) Carr, Rev. Michael (Karen) Carr, Ed (Linda) Carr; numerous nieces, nephews and friends; and her closest friend, Linda Wilson.

Visitation will be held on Monday, July 31, 2017, 4 to 8 p.m., in the Daniel F. O’Riley Funeral Home, 6107 S. East St., where morning prayers will be said on Tuesday, August 1, 2017, at 9:30 a.m. The Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 10 a.m., Tuesday, in St. Patrick Catholic Church, 950 Prospect Street.   1. Bridget was a kind and loving person. I will always cherish our times together. We first met at Robin Run when my Aunt Margaret was taken care of by Bridget. She was one of a kind. I will miss our talks.
