Carolyn Mary Robinson

April 18, 1932 ~ March 15, 2022
Carolyn Mary Robinson, 89, of Indianapolis, passed away at the Franciscan Hospice House on the afternoon of March 15, 2022. Carolyn was born on April 18, 1932, in Batesville, Indiana to the late Jacob and Rose Barbara (Lampe) Telles. Carolyn graduated from Batesville High School in 1950.
On November 26, 1959, Carolyn wed Wallace Ray “Wally” Robinson. The pair enjoyed 57 years of marriage; Wally passed away on September 14, 2017. The two were active members of St. Barnabas Catholic Church. Carolyn was active in the Ladies Club there. She also enjoyed volunteering at Hunger, Inc., still delivering bread for them until November of 2021.
Earlier in her life, Carolyn enjoyed working as a bookkeeper for Batesville Casket Company. When she and Wally began their family, she turned all her time and attention to being the consummate wife and mother. Carolyn enjoyed cheering on the IU basketball team and the Indianapolis Colts. In her more active years, Carolyn was an avid bowler and relished being in her yard, growing her beautiful flower gardens. Carolyn’s bird feeders were always full, and her yard was kept immaculately. Above all, Carolyn was a loving wife, mother, and grandmother. She will be truly missed by all of those she leaves behind.
Survivors include her children, Barbara (John) Reed, Jeffrey (Kami) Robinson, and Michael (Carol) Robinson; her sisters in law, Jane Telles, Mary Telles, Carol Robinson, Judy Laudick, and Connie Knutson; her eight grandchildren, Benjamin, Jake, Justin, Samantha, Brandon, Brett, Drew, and Devin; her 11 great-grandchildren; and a host of extended family members and friends.
Along with both parents, Carolyn was preceded in death by her husband of 57 years, Wallace Ray “Wally” Robinson; her sister, Rose Magdalen Voegele; and her brothers, Paul Albert Telles, Francis Telles, and James Telles.

Loved being with Carolyn And her husband Wally during all of our grandkid’s celebrations. She never looked her age and when I finally found out how old she was I could not believe it. God bless her in heaven with her husband of many years. Sending hugs and prayers to all of the children and grandchildren and great-grandchildren of Carolyn.
