The Man had a big heart and full of love.
He was a great man and a big heart ❤️
I’m saddened to hear about Charles’ passing. We were Race of a Lifetime brothers. I cherish our conversations about Jesus and I fondly remember his smile. Praying for family and friends during this difficult time of loss. Goodbyes aren’t for Christians, so I will see you later brother.
Charles was an amazing man after God’s own heart! I so much appreciated his passion for Jesus and sharing the gospel. To know that he’s in the very presence of Jesus is so comforting. ߒ
He will be missed. What a great guy!
Young Charlie Edmonds was a natural athlete in the strongest sense. He played basketball like no one we had ever seen. He could hit a baseball like Babe Ruth. He could knock the cover off a softball, and he did so, often. He was a competitor. At the end of our street, there was a large vacant lot owned by the Schuster’s Coal Company. In the summer, we mowed the tall weeds and grasses into the shape of a baseball diamond and outfield. We played there every summer growing up. Like my brother Eddie and I, our neighborhood friends looked forward to the week that Charlie was coming to visit. The Slinkards, the Greenes, the Bradshaws; he knew them all. They knew him. I still remember the time when my younger brother Eddie, held up the softball and pointed it to Charlie and said,” Charlie, this is the only ball we got!” I will miss his insight. I will miss his thoughtfulness. I will miss his smile and I will miss his laughter. I will certainly miss the many good times we had together growing up, but I will cherish the memory of those moments for the rest of my life. May God bless you Charlie Edmonds.
A beautiful soul is NEVER forgotten! RIP Charlie.
I met Charlie a little over 12 years ago when I married into the family. Charlie welcomed me into the family with open arms. Charlie and Rita were regular visitors in my house and one of the nicest things he ever said to me was that he always felt at home when in my house. I loved him dearly and always enjoyed his stories. RIP my friend.
I first met Charles at the Race of a Life Time. I remember that in the face of all his challenges he still shared his testimony and his never waivering faith in the Lord. It left such a lasting memory to me. Bob Booher
