Dian LaRosa

December 26, 1960 ~ November 9, 2021
Dian (Englehart) LaRosa, 60, of Greenwood, passed away at her residence suddenly on November 9, 2021. Dian was born on December 26, 1960 in Upland, Indiana. In late May of 1989, Dian wed Michael LaRosa in Indianapolis; he preceded her in death on August 10, 2016.
A hardworking mother and wife, Dian worked in the grocery business for over 20 years in various roles, from sign manager to clerk, and even receiving goods. Dian retired from Marsh Supermarkets in 2009. She was a woman of faith and a member at St. Mark Catholic Church in Indianapolis.
When not working, Dian could be found in her yard or garden. She was known for a meticulously kept yard that she enjoyed mowing. Planting a vegetable garden with her famous Indiana tomatoes, caring for multiple plants, tending to her hummingbird feeders, listening to the windchimes in her gardens, and sharing her love for all these things with her sons brought Dian so much joy in life. Dian’s passion for plants ran so deeply that she began selling them through her business when she resided in Elwood, Indiana called “The Rose Garden”. Peonies, coleus, succulents, and ficus trees are just a few of the many things Dian enjoyed growing.
Aside from tending to her yard and garden, Dian was a loving mother and grandmother. She loved to spend time with her family. A generous spirit, Dian loved to surprise others and brighten their day in any way possible. She was always fashionably dressed with her hair styled perfectly; it was noted she could pull off nearly any hairstyle and didn’t require much make-up as she was a natural beauty. A strong-willed spirit made Dian truly one-of-a-kind; she will be greatly missed by all of those she leaves behind.
Survivors include her three sons, Tyler Sutton, Dylan Sutton (Sarah), and Salvatore “Sonny” LaRosa (Sara); grandchildren, James A. Sutton, Landon T. Sutton, and Sullivan C. LaRosa; many in-laws, nieces and nephews, extended family members, and friends.

We so enjoyed Mike and Diane’s friendship. She welcomed me into her home to finish getting ready for work when we were waiting for our house to have a closing to move. We worked at the same company but worked different positions. It wasn’t long before we knew and enjoyed her entire family. I cherish our memories and friendship! I love you Diane but you knew that!
With heartfelt condolences,
Sister, we have been friends for 20 years. You and Mike have helped me when I was going through a lot in my life. We have had many memories that I will always cherish in my heart. You will be missed so much but I know you are happy now and with Mike. I love you and will never forget the times we have shared with each other and the many cups of coffee we have set and drank and chats we have had. Rest In Peace my sister. Love you always your best friend and sister. Kim Karas
