Doris L. Cummings, 95, of Indianapolis, passed away on June 19, 2023. Doris was born to the late James & Viola Spears on February 14, 1928, in Indianapolis. Doris retired from Indiana Bell after 20 years and could be found shopping at Target. Kroger, Meijer, and Kohl’s most days. She also loved her Soap Opera’s when she was younger.
Doris is survived by her children; Anita Harden, Richard Cummings, Daniel Cummings and Katrina (Curtis) Breeden, grandson; Daniel Cummings, great-grandson; Spencer (Makenzie) Watson, great-great-granddaughter; Maezie and siblings; Wilma Keane, James (Barbara) Spears and Joyce Ridener.
Doris is preceded in death by her husband; Herman Cummings and grandson;
Dustin Watson.
Doris’ Life Celebration® Visitation and Funeral Service will be held at O’Riley – Branson Funeral Service & Crematory, 6107 S. East Street, Indianapolis, Indiana, 46237. Visitation will be Tuesday, June 27, 2023, 11:00am-12:00pm., with the service following at Noon followed by a private burial at New Crown Cemetery in Indianapolis.
