Jan and all the Wonderful Armour Sibs: How amazing that you had this wonderful lady in your lives for such a long time. Her picture reminded me of all the time I’d see her standing on the porch on Drexel, waiting for all the little ones to come home. Where has time gone? After looking at the video, I know your memories will be so vivid, they will sustain you through your grief. Know that I am thinking of you. Maribeth Taylor Ransel
To the Armour Family. I loved Dot like she was my own family. I looked to her as a mother and a friend, for around 28 years. So We had loads of sharing, loads of caring, loads of events we went through together. I want you all to know, Although your mom and I seemed to cover every subject there was in the world, there was nothing more clear and important of any of them like her family was to her.
Just last visit, (2 weeks ago)as we chatted and waited for Jeanne to return, Kelli(my salon mate) told her clients About Dots age, etc. I piped up and said, “ and she never smoked or drank, in her life”. A client said, “ well you never had any fun did ya”? Your mom, being cute as always, said, “my fun was raising my family and that’s it” She was never more serious about anything as she was that! She was no prouder of anything, more than she was her family. I heard it all of the time, always.
She absolutely loved all of the parties. She would talk about how Special this was and how Special that was. How elegant they were or even the fun. All of them. But she didn’t talk more PROUD about anything then she did all of you. As for me, I will Treasure the thought of her, her Sweet Face, her being so Loving, so Lively, and all of the memories. Those will stay Forever in my most loving place, My Heart! My thoughts and my prayers are with you all, as I know what kind of journey this is.
May the Lord Comfort you in his Heavenly Peaceful and Comforting arms, as you go through these days ahead and the adjustments to come.
My Deepest and Most Sincere Condolences, I send to each of you with love.
Love, Carol Leonard
