Steven was my friend and fraternity brother forty years. I met Steven at Life Chiropractic College in 1981 where he took me under his wing (now he has two). Steven shared with me his commitment to family values and his destiny to be a Chiropractor. Steven spent hours tutoring me: teaching me adjusting skills, critiquing me until I got it right. It was that important to Steven. He introduced me to Rocky Graziano and Mickey Mantle. We became roommates and during the years we lived together, I never heard Steven say a derogatory word; when facing adversity, he focused on positive resolution and the opportunity for character growth. Steven loved to talk and tell stories. He made friends with almost everyone he met; not everyone is friendly, but that did stop Steven from trying. He tried to help everyone. Steven loved his Mercedes Benz and his practice. Steven was the most meticulous craftsman. He was so very proud of the house he built for Kathy and himself. Above all, Steven was exceptionally proud of Kathy who he admired, respected and loved. Steven liked to talk and told me, Kathy was essential to the success of his practice; he told of sacrifices she made for him and her devotion. Steven was fun loving too, back in the day, Steven and I Flew from Atlanta to Fort Lauderdale to help our fraternity brother. We had no where to stay, so we slept on the sand under a sea grape tree. We watched a lunar eclipse together in Key West. He took he to graduation in a stretch limousine. Steven and I laughed for years about the time he fell asleep watching TV and his feet fell off the stool landing in the fireplace, he woke yelling “my feet are in the fire- My Feet Are in the Fire”. Every day with Steven was meaningful. I have many and only fond memories of Dr. Steve Patrick Bailey. I cherish them all. Steven was my friend, confidant, mentor and brother who continues to inspire me.
Love and Prayers from, Drs.Roger & Lorraine Bailey, Dr. Larry & Marilyn Bailey, Dr. Doug & Tammy Haney, Jerry & Phyllis Bost, and Darlene Bailey.
What an awesome memory of my uncle Steven! Thanks for the share
Uncle Steven was Superman- hands down. I have so many found memories of him and every single one of them he has the biggest smile on his face. He was such a humble, kind, hardworking, big-hearted soul and anyone who knew him knew he was genuine to the core. Great listener and always had a solution for anything you brought to him. Uncle Steven was the ultimate problem solver and if you remember McGyver, that was Uncle Steven. He always had some project going on and could build/fix anything. He would have been a YouTube sensation if someone would have followed him around and recorded all of his useful knowledge. He loved to help others and would give you the shirt off of his back, or shall I say “cape”. Steven’s love for Aunt Kathy can never be duplicated. They have an unconditional love you can only read about. He was so happy to have her as his wife and no matter how long they had been together he would light up the second she walked into the room. My heart goes out to you Aunt Kathy and I know he will always watch over you. Steven was an awesome brother to my dad, Paris Bailey III aka Perry. Those 2 were unstoppable when they had an idea and needed to execute a plan. I watched them build 4 houses from the ground up. They would laugh, cuss and laugh again, but always “get er done”. That was uncle Stevens down time after a long day of caring for patients. Steven and Perry were inseparable and had a brotherly love that brought a smile to anyone’s face who got the chance to witness it. Steven…. you did well here on earth and touched more lives than you will ever know. Fly high Superman, I Love You!
I am so sorry to just now be seeing this. I would just like to say what a great person I thought he was. He was so nice and kind and he was funny, too. I was assigned to him when I started chiropractic school and he was great at adjusting. Please accept my condolences. No one will ever forget him. I’m so sorry for your loss. Dr. K.
