Esperanza “Espie” Moody, 30, of Indianapolis, passed away at her home on February 16, 2023. Esperanza was born on January 11, 1993, to Chela & Penn Moody in Indianapolis. Espie is a 2011 graduate of Roncalli High School. Espie was full of life and loved spending time with her family, especially her son, Giovani. She was so looking forward to his First Communion later this Spring. She liked to be outdoors traveling and hiking. She was very social and enjoyed getting together with friends. She was also a fashion bug and loved to “dress up”. She was a parishioner of St. Mark Catholic Church in Indianapolis.
Espie is survived by her son; Giovani J. Limbach, mother; Chela Moody, father; Penn (Connie) Moody, siblings; Adam (Megan) Moody, Mia E. Moody, Maria E. (Matt) Gates and Felix Z. Moody, nieces; Leah & Malena, nephews; Isaiah & Lucas, Giovani’s father; Austin Limbach and numerous aunts, uncles & cousins.
Espie’s Life Celebration® Mass will be held at St. Mark Catholic Church on Friday, February 24, 2023 at 11:00 A.M.

We, the families of The Compassionate Friends, send you our heartfelt condolences on Esperanza’s passing.
The Compassionate Friends is an international, non-denominational, grief support group for parents, grandparents and siblings who have suffered the heartbreaking loss of a child. Our only mission is to provide comfort, hope and support to every family experiencing the death of a son or daughter, brother or sister, or grandchild, and to help others better assist the grieving family.
We meet monthly on the first Wednesday at the New Hope Church, 5307 Fairview Rd, Greenwood, IN 46142 and on the third Tuesday at the Epworth United Methodist, 6450 Allisonville Road, Indianapolis, IN 46220. Both meetings begin at 6:30pm.
