My sincerest condolences to the family. Mankind was never created to die. This may explain why we find it so hard to accept when someone we love dies. We can find hope and comfort in reading the Bible’s promise that soon the last enemy, death, will be brought to nothing and we will never again have to feel this terrible sense of loss (1 Cor. 15:26). I hope your family will find comfort from God’s promises during this most difficult time.
I am so sorry to hear of the death of Herman. The passing away of a loved one is always with much sorrow. May we have faith and confidence in the Bible’s promise of a time when pain, sickness and death are a thing of the past (Revelation 21:3, 4). My condolences are with the family at this difficult time.
So sorry to hear about my good friend Bud. Bud and I shared so much as kids, from the time he lived with us after his father died until we graduated from Cathedral. He and I had a 500 game tournament on our front porch on 13th street…Monopoly. Truly we were like brothers and I shall certainly miss him. Only good thing is he is now with Marge in heaven, and healed. I only wish I were able to drive to Indy tomorrow, but will be praying for him. Norm
Bud and I worked on the Mater Dei Council Knights of Columbus degree team together. I will always remember his many kindnesses to me and our fellowship in the lounge at the Council Home. May perpetual light shine upon him! With love and sympathy, Judge Dave Certo
I was very saddened earlier today when I learned of Bud’s passing. He was gentleman and a jokester. Bud loved the Mater Dei Knights of Columbus council and was involved in just about every role a Knight could have.
He enjoyed playing pool in the Hall with my now deceased grandfather, and he welcomed me when I eventually joined the Mater Dei council. I regret that work and life changes kept me away from spending time with Bud in his later years, and I couldn’t get away today to attend the funeral. We’ve lost a wonderful person.
Peace
