So many memories of this amazing woman, mom, friend, and grandmother who has been part of so many phases of my life. When I practically moved into Colorado’s house in college, Kathy always greeted me with such warmth, regardless of the fact that I wasn’t payin’ rent. The image of her smiling and singing with all of us around the campfire at Brosius are among my favorite memories of time we’ll spent. Rest in peace, Kathy. Love you.
Kathy taught me so much about so many things. My life is deepened and enriched from knowing her. Kathy was a person of great generosity, intellect, and wisdom. She had heart of gold. I was very fortunate to have been loved by her to and to love her. She was my best friend and I will treasure her friendship and love for the rest of my days. Bon Voyage sweet Kathy. I’ll see you on the other side one day.

For me Kathy, your presence was humble, grounded, and kind hearted. Thank you for the warmth you shared, for loving & expressing art, embracing the deeper questions and truths, and being a solidly good being on this planet. My life is better for knowing you and your graciousness. Fare thee well sister. Bren
I feel grateful for having known her. Love you Kathy!
I never had the honor of meeting Kathy , but I do know her daughter Colorado who has made my nephew Kyle so happy as his wife. I’m sure that Colorado is a reflection of her mom.
Kathy and I missed our lunch date, December 12. Next time I’m at Thai House, our destination, I’ll be watching for her! At the very least, I’ll hear her laughter and feel her warm, sparkly smile. She gave of herself, so freely, that I can’t imagine anyone who knew her walking forward without a piece of her in their heart! Fly free, dear Kathy!
Kathy Sue was as unique as she was brilliant and creative. She was a poet & a writer and a risk taker. She loved hiking in the mountains and being near the ocean and was always busy when home with her family and an unbelievable number of close friends. Kathy was a musician and an artist as well as a scientist with great knowledge of & interest in the workings of the Universe. Kathy was a teacher of love and generosity and calm. Her Beautiful Spirit was wise and present but too-short lived. She has left an enormous emptiness and many memories for each of us. May we please keep her in our hearts for the rest of our lives. I love you Kathy. BBFF ߒCarol
Kathy was an uncommon person. A treasure to everyone in her life. We will miss her. But we have all of her special gifts to keep us paying it forward. We all have angels that come into our lives when we need them. Kathy was my angel. So many sweet memories: Driving around in the pink Cadillac. All night in the darkroom. Clapping for all the movies the girls made. Singing and dancing to our favorite songs. Traveling with the fun Marshall Family. Backpacking in Colorado. And sunbathing on the big rocks in Mt. San Jacinto State Pack. I have been blessed by the magic of Kathy.
Kathy’s wise and gentle spirit lives on in everyone who knew her. We were to paint together, but never got around to it…here. This we will do in another realm. I am grateful for our brief friendship, Friend.ߒ
