Kenneth Lee Boehm

Kenny Boehm passed away very unexpectedly on Friday, April 20. He will be greatly missed by the many people who loved him.

Most of all, Kenny loved his family, friends, and Catholic Faith. He deeply cherished the faithful home his mother and father bore him into and always enjoyed the great love shared between his eight brothers and sisters and their families. Kenny always considered himself lucky to have so many wonderful friends with whom he could share his life, in particular his very close friend and companion, Ann Hurrle. He considered his life’s greatest work the home made together with his former spouse, Kelli (McGovern) Boehm. They had two sons, and Kenny’s greatest source of pride and joy were his three grandchildren.

Kenny was a parishioner of Good Shepherd Catholic Church. Besides Good Shepherd, Kenny would also claim that three other Catholic Communities had significantly helped shape his faith and form the backdrop for many of his friendships: Holy Name, Roncalli High School, and Our Lady of the Greenwood.

Kenny also loved his work. Alongside very dedicated and talented employees, he operated Lamb Machine Precision Cams, State Gear, and Enviropeel USA.

Kenny is survived by, son, Rev. Dustin Boehm; daughter-in-law, Maria (Danis) Boehm; grandchildren, Isabella, Killian, and Victoria Boehm; sisters, Malinda Hinkle, Rosanna Wagner, Marty Turner, Barbara Hank; brothers, Paul, Bob, Wil, and Pius Boehm; many nieces and nephews; step-father, Bud Sheese. Kenny was preceded in death by son, Adam Boehm and parents, Catherine and Wilfred Boehm.

Visitation will be Thursday, April 26, 2018, 4 to 8 p.m., in the Daniel F. O’Riley Funeral Home, where morning prayers will be said at 10:15 a.m., Friday, April 27, 2018. 1. Unexpected and all too soon. A shock to all who knew and loved him. He was his own man who often hid behind his humor but touched so many lives with his caring and generous givings of both money and time to those who needed it. It is no coincidence his best pictures were of him with kid, laughing & playing. We’ll never be at a family event again where we won’t both dearly miss but also smile when we think of Kenneth. Rest in peace.

  2. To a brother in law that all loved and appreciated. Was the greatest grandfather that one could only think of. A father to sons that were his life. Cannot
Imagine how much he will be missed throught out the family. Rest with Loving Mother and Son.

  3. Kenny, you always had a smile and kind words whenever I saw you. You will be missed my friend. Rest now in the peace of Christ ߙ

  4. Kenny was a friend to all! His passing is a great loss for our whole community. My deepest sympathies to all his family and friends. I will forever remember his faith and kindness. While class mates at Holy Name, Kenny, shared his strong faith when his own father passed away at such a young age. While eighth graders, Kenny was voted co-class president. Great memories that year!!
Godspeed friend! Until we meet again may God hold you in the palm of his hand.

  6. Our thoughts and prayers are with Kenny and the Boehm family: I’ve known Kenny since our glory days @ Holy Name. He was always friendly and cheerful. May he rest in peace in God’s open arms. The Lord will open the gates of paradise and they will return to that homeland where there is not death but only lasting joy. Grant Kenny eternal rest O Lord, and allow him to share in your heavenly glory. Precious Lord, take his hand and lead him home.
On behalf of the Cahill family, we extend our condolences to the entire Boehm family at this time and remember them in our prayers in the days ahead.

  8. Dear Family, I am so sorry to hear of the loss of your dear loved one and send you my sincere condolences. May you find comfort from God’s word at Revelation 21:3,4 and John 5:28,29. Heartfelt prayers are with you during this difficult time.

  9. GOD bless you Kenny, You saved my life years ago. I chose to get help for drug addiction, because you saw something in me that I did not see in myself. Kenny went above and beyond what any employer would be expected to do, for someone in my case. His genuine compassion and empathy for others, is second to none. I found this obituary while searching for his email address or phone number. I wanted him to know that everything he done for me, was not in vein. I finally got sober, and I wanted him to know, that because of him, I have 7 relapse free years of sobriety. Kenny bent over backwards trying to help me get sober. I wish so bad that i could have told him before he died. My utmost respect for him has always been there and always will. You by far, have been the best employer I’ve ever had the pleasure to work for.
