Kimberly Anne Stewart

With a heart as radiant as a summer sun and a spirit that embraced life’s countless hues. Kimberly Anne Stewart left this world too soon on March 10, 2026, in the city where her story began-Indianapolis, Indiana. Born on September 27, 1974, Kimberly was a shining light whose journey through life touched the hearts of all who knew her.

Kimberly’s days were woven with passions that revealed the depths of her vibrant personality. She found joy in restoring cars, breathing new life into engines and steel, a testament to her determination and care. The great outdoors was her sanctuary-whether tending her garden with tender hands, feeling the soft sand beneath her feet at the beach, or traveling to new horizons with eyes full of wonder. Her time with her co-workers at the United Parcel Service was cherished as much as quiet moments spent with her beloved dog, Riley, who was a steadfast companion through both bustling days and tranquil evenings.

Born and bred in Indianapolis, Kimberly’s roots ran deep in the city’s soil. She was a beacon of warmth and laughter, proudest of the lasting bonds she nurtured with family and friends. In her embrace, they found strength, comfort, and unwavering love. Though her parents, Riley and Theresa Stewart, have passed on, their legacy lives through Kimberly’s every smile and action.
She leaves behind her treasured sister, Kele (Fabrizio) Volpino, whose bond with Kimberly was a source of mutual strength and affection. Also mourning her loss are her aunt and uncle, Mary and Bernard Hall, alongside several cousins who carry fond memories of shared moments and celebrations.

There will be a private family service.

Services entrusted to O’Riley – Branson Funeral Service & Crematory, 6107 S. East Street, Indianapolis, Indiana, 46227.

  8. A Life Woven Side by Side

There are lives we live alone,
and then there are the lives we are given twice,
    once in breath,
and once in the quiet, steady presence
    of a sister.

    Before the world named us,
before we understood loss or language,
we were already learning each other,
    in shared rooms,
in laughter that arrived too quickly,
in tears that never had to be explained.

    She was there
when the world felt too large for small hands,
    and somehow,
    it became smaller, kinder,
simply because she stood within it.

A sister is not just memory,
she is the echo that lingers in the marrow,
the voice that softens the edges of every silence,
    the invisible thread
that pulls your heart gently forward
when it forgets how to move.

    You grow together,
through seasons that do not ask permission,
    through versions of yourselves
that come and go like tides,
    yet somehow,
    what remains is not time,
    but knowing.

    A glance that says everything.
A laugh that remembers who you were
before the world asked you to become more.

    And oh,
    the beauty of it,
    not in perfection,
but in the way love learns to stay.

    In the ordinary moments
that no one else would ever see as sacred:
the way she said your name,
as if it belonged somewhere safe…
    the way her presence
made even silence feel like home.

    A sister’s life beside yours
    is not measured in years,
it is measured in how deeply
    you are changed
by having been loved by her.

    And even now,
in every soft corner of becoming,
in every quiet breath between what was
    and what will be,
    she remains.

    Not as something lost,
    but as something carried.

    Forever,
    as the most beautiful part
    of you.
