  1. Loved Leona since the minute I met her,she was a wonderful example of kindness, love, integrity,I will miss her dearly and think of her often, and every time I do ,I’ll smile.Heaven gained another Angel today.

  2. I was so shocked to see Leona’s name in the paper today, my friend for years at Western Electric. She was active in so many of the Indianapolis Club activities. She worked with me on my Big Show and Women’s Party, we bowled on the same team, and shared ever so many laughs! She served as President of our Pioneer group, and continued in that position even after Western closed. We just loved Leona! I send my deepest condolences to her family – she will definitely be missed.

  3. Sarah and I are very sad to hear of the death of your mom. Stay strong as the days will pass. She was the best sister-in-law that we could have. You will see her again someday.

  4. Aunt Leona., Will be missed by many of us. Prayers being said for her children Tom, April, Sandy and Karen. It is so difficult to loose our parents. The void never is filled. May God bless you during this difficult time. Love you Veronica

  5. Tom, April, Sandy and Karen,

So sorry to hear of Leona’s passing. You are all in our prayers. Hoping each day is better and time brings you all peace.

  6. Aunt Leona has gone from this world and she has left its trials and tribulations behind. She has gone to a better place and we hope they are ready because Heaven will know when she arrives!

My Aunt Leona and I grew up together and she was as much a big sister as an Aunt. Why else would she have squealed when she found the fake snake I put under her pillow? Or why would I have taken such devilish glee in embarrassing her in front of boys we encountered at the drug store?

Later on she shifted more into Aunt mode. Who could forget her and Uncle Don coming to one of my football games and getting into a tussle with someone who dared to criticize my playing ability?

She was a wonderful and supportive presence in my life and I benefited from her influence in numerous ways.

We will miss you Aunt Leona and your passing has left our world a diminished place. However we know that your Family in Heaven will welcome your arrival and will rejoice to have you with them.

May God Bless You and Keep You Forever!
