Linda Jean Simmons

Linda J. Simmons, 77, passed away peacefully on Thursday, August 6, 2026. Linda was born in Indianapolis, Indiana on June 28, 1949, to the late William F. Hayes Sr. and Patricia
Langsford Hayes.

Linda is preceded in death by her husband; Alan B. Simmons, sister; Marty Morrow, along with her father-in-law; Charles Simmons, mother-in-law; Nell Simmons, brother-in-law; Jim Simmons, nephew; Mark Simmons, sister-in-law; Suzanne Halloran, brother-in-law; Thomas Halloran, and nephew; Jack Halloran.

Linda is survived by her two sons; Brian Simmons and Jason (Sara) Simmons, and her five loving grandchildren; Brady, Karter, Megan, Ashley, and Connor. She is also survived by her brother; William Hayes Jr (TJ Hayes) and two nieces, Jillian and Carrigan
and sister-in-law; Linda J Simmons and nieces; Anna, Jill, and Kate, Michelle, and Jamey, along with nephew; Jim Halloran.

Linda worked in the medical field most of her life. She most recently worked in the Medical Education and Surgery Residency
Education Program at Methodist Hospital from 1985-2013. She enjoyed working with the surgery residents in training and with the
Methodist Surgery Teaching Faculty in her role as General Surgery Residency Coordinator.

She really enjoyed watching her sons participate at all levels of athletics and her grandchildren as they played their sports.

Visitation will be held at O’Riley Branson Funeral Service & Crematory (6107 S East St., Indianapolis, Indiana 46227) on Friday, August 14, 2026, from 12:00pm-2:00pm. Funeral Services will immediately following in the Funeral Home. Burial will take place at Calvary Cemetery in Indianapolis.
