Linzie Thomas Brock

Linzie Thomas Brock, 90 of Indianapolis, passed away Monday, November 6, 2017 at Community Hospital South in Indianapolis. Linzie was born August 23, 1927 in Trimble, Kentucky to the late Lloyd Thomas and Helen (Foster) Brock. On March 16, 1946 he was united in marriage to Iva Leverl (Jenkins) Brock and she survives.

Linzie was a wheeler-dealer and jack of all trades; he owned and operated B&B Auto Sales in Indianapolis for many years. A man of great faith; Linzie was a long-time member of the Indianapolis Baptist Temple. A loving husband, father, brother, grandfather, great grandfather, and friend, Linzie’s memory will be cherished by his family, friends, and fellow members of the Indianapolis Baptist Temple.

Along with his parents, Linzie was preceded in death by his son, Ronald T. Brock; his grandson, Steven Scott and many siblings; Emery, Herman, Harry, Boyd, and Harrison Brock, Myrtle Hudson, Virginia Campbell, and Delma Sharp.

Survivors include his loving wife of 71 years, Iva; his daughter, Sherry J. (Robert) Craven of Greenwood; two grandchildren, Gina R. and Kevin M. Scott; several great grandchildren; one brother, Howard (Arevia) Brock of Somerset, Kentucky; and one sister, Evelyn Burton of Indianapolis.

Family and friends will gather to celebrate the life of Linzie Thomas Brock from Noon until 2:00 p.m. on Friday, November 10, 2017 in the chapel at the Daniel F. O’Riley Funeral Home, 6107 S. East, Indianapolis. Rev. Greg Dixon, Jr. will officiate the funeral service beginning at 2:00 p.m. on Friday at the funeral home. Entombment will follow at Forest Lawn Memory Gardens.
