Lola E. Hodge

July 8, 1953 ~ February 24, 2021
Lola Eleanor Hodge 67, passed away on February 24, 2021. Lola was born July 8, 1953 in Tremonton, Utah to the late Jennie Garcia and Manuel Rebeterano.
Lola Hodge was a free spirit. She lived life on her own terms and lived life to the fullest. She never met a stranger she didn’t befriend. She loved spending time traveling, trying new things, and spending time with her family. If there was music playing, she was dancing. She danced her way through life. She had a zest for life that was unmatched. She cherished spending time with her family but especially her boys. She could light a room up with her presence and was often the life of the party. She found joy in the simple things of life. She never missed an opportunity to stop and smell the roses. She loved The Wizard of Oz and all that it stood for. She has finally clicked her heels and traveled over the rainbow to be with those that have gone on before her. She is loved, was loved, and will continue to be loved.
Lola was preceded in death by siblings, Alex and Paul. She is survived by her sons Fred M. Martinez and Benjamin R. Martinez; Siblings Bill, John, Rudy, Felix ,Ernest, Linda, Rose Ann, and Ernestine; Grandsons, Granddaughters, numerous Nieces, Nephews, and Friends, especially Vanessa.

Out of a lifetime of memories I have of my cousin Lola, I would have to say that my favorites would be of the years she and her family lived in California. Our families would visit each other often. Our husbands played music for hours, and Lola and I played games…Skipo, yahtzee, etc. Our kids hung out together, or played games with us too. We had so much fun! She was never a dull moment! She will be Missed VERY much! I know my hubby Danny is playing a welcome home song as you enter those pearly gates…please give him a hug for me!
I have so many wonderful memories of our friendship. Lola had such a beautiful soul. Her love for my brother was one of a kind. She will be dearly missed and loved forever. God’s grace on our beautiful angel. Love, Anita ߒ
Lit a candle in memory of Lola E. Hodge
Lola and I had so many memories together, although we separated several years ago we still remained friends. Lola was so full of life and had such a beautiful sprit, if you met her you would certainly not forget her. To say she was the life of the party would be an understatement, she was the party. So many good times in California. My heart is broken and I hurt for my boys benny and fred, I know how much she meant to those boys. Rest in heaven Lola and say hi to fat dad and the rest of all our families who have gone on before you. I will miss you Lola. You will forever be in my heart. ߒ
