Margaret Allison

Margaret A. Allison, 90, Indianapolis, passed away October 3, 2017. Mrs. Allison was born September 8, 1927, in Indianapolis to the late Maurice and Mary Lavender (Borchers) Hayes.

She graduated from Shortridge High School and was employed by IBM for many years. Mrs. Allison was a member of St. Barnabas Catholic Church, the Red Hat Society, and was an avid golfer through the years. She also loved to read and was a regular visitor at the Southport Library. A true dog lover, she was especially fond of her dog, Sam. She will be fondly remembered by her loving family.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, William E. Allison; a brother and his wife, Robert and Barbara Hayes.

Survivors include one daughter, Kim Allison of Alexandria, Virginia; two step-sons, Larry (Bernadette) Allison and Denny (Mary-Adele) Allison; four grandchildren, Jessica (Patrick), Ty, Cynthia, and Carrie.

Visitation will be held on Saturday, October 7, 2017, 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. in the Daniel F. O’Riley Funeral Home. Prayers will be said at 1 p.m. at the funeral home, prior to a 1:30 Mass of Christian Burial in St. Barnabas Catholic Church. Burial will follow in Calvary Cemetery.
